sleeping tour and Wedding Bells
2/25/2008
Sleep, Rest, Work and wedding plans!!!!
 Hey all!
After browsing through our web sites and looking at our blogs, I noticed that we haven’t let you guys know what has been going on with us in quite a while. This just won’t do. THE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW!!!!!! So here we go. Ever since our intense run with our buddies in The Last Hope back in January and early February, we have been spending some much needed time at home. This time has been spent resting, fellowshipping with old friends, and for some of us working to try and catch up to that ever growing monster called bills. It has been a much needed few weeks of rest, and we are happy to get it.
Also over the last few weeks we have experienced some of the biggest news this motley group of guys have ever heard. On Valentine’s Day Justin (Our Beloved and at times behated Drummer) popped the major question and asked his long-time girlfriend, Bitsy, to marry him. After running away from him because she thought he was playing a practical joke on her, she finally realized that he was serious. She very joyously replied with a jovial yes and the impending sound of wedding bells have been ringing in all of our ears ever since. We are all very excited about these two finally setting the date and are looking forward to adding Bitsy to the Flatfoot 56 family.
So what’s going to happen to Flatfoot now that the drummer is getting married and the rest of the guys are busy working their fool fannies off and or sleeping like nobodies business? The answer is the same as it has always been. We are going to make sure we keep kicking all your faces in on a regular basis at our shows around the country. This March we will be hitting the road down to that mystical land of Texas for some fest shows and killer punk dates. Among these include a date with one of our favorite Reggae/Ska bands the Aggrolites. Keep an eye out for other dates in your area. Later!

Fall madness

Hey all!

Thought I would give you all an update on what’s happening with the good old Footboys. We are currently on tour out west and hanging with friends and family on the coast. Shows have been fun with many new faces showing up and hanging out. Currently we are sitting in the bay area and getting some much needed rest after a crazy past few nights of shows. We head for southern California tomorrow to play, destroy, and eat In and Out burgers till the special sauce come out of our pours.

After our west coast extravaganza we anxiously anticipate our next trip which begins on the 2nd of November. This tour will be heading toward the southeast with shows in Florida, Georgia and various other southern states. This trip will finish when we hit the amazing experience of Riot Fest, where we will be playing the second day with the legendary band, Bad Brains. After a short break for thanksgiving we are heading towards the very cold states of South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin for some mind blowingly amazing shows in the frozen tundra.

In even more touring new we will be finish this blistering fall touring schedule out by heading over seas to play in Germany, Scotland, and England. We are looking forward to finally getting over to the other side of the big pond. We invade on the 7th of December and will be over there for a week or two. Hope to see everyone out in the months ahead. Keep checking our Myspace for show updates. If you see we are going to be in your area and only playing once Check back to see if more shows are added as we are always booking. Hope to see some of your beautiful faces out in the days ahead.

Blood, blisters, and hard hitting times

Well all another month with some awesome stuff on the horizon. We have been spending some time getting much needed rest and getting some much needed hours at the local jobs at home. We have also been playing some new places around Chicago and have been really blessed lately to see some old faces come out to the shows to hang out. It’s like a reunion.
Last Sunday we were able to gather a big group of people together and shoot a music VDO for the song Warriors from ‘Jungle of the Midwest Sea’ album. The afternoon was spend having a ton of people plowing into each other and trying to pull off some of the hardest tackles and hits known to man. We are all as sore and beat up as it gets but the footage looks great and is make for an interesting video. Look for it in the days ahead to be posted all over the place.
We are also going to be starting the wild world of festivals very soon so be sure to come out and rock those with us. If a Festival is going to be in your area look for shows in the surrounding states. Hope to see you there.

Holy Crap we're going to Japan with Flogging Molly!!!!!!!
4/4/2007

Well this was a big surprise! We were called about a week ago from our contact in Japan to see if we could come over and open three dates in Japan with Flogging Molly. When we got the news we were floored at even the thought. Who would have thought that a few Motley guys from the southside of Chicago would ever get such a chance? After a few days of working it out and praying to God that this wasn't some crazy mistake, we are set for a last minute trip to the Far East. Needless to say we are all very excited about this amazing opportunity. This will be our first trip as Flatfoot 56 outside of this country. We haven't even been to Canada yet. Our trip will begin the 10th and go throught the 17th of April. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers, as we get ready for this opportunity. We'll keep you guys posted with some pictures and stories when we get back.

Happy St. Paddy's Day!
3/17/2007

Hope you all have an awesome day filled with rockinness, gold chocolate, and man eating leprechauns! And there's two places you should retreat to, either Dallas where there will be bagpipes and celtic punk at the Red Blood Club, or Chicago, where there's awesomeness and lakes dyed green, awesome pizza, and eventually bagpipes and celtic punk.
The road has been really awesome the past two months. We've been all over the place and played with really awesome bands and played for awesome people and stayed with awesome friends. We've eaten awesome food, had extremely horrible weather...but then had awesome weather. We've had an awesome time promoting our new CD (Coming out May 15th May 15th May 15th!), and we've just really been blessed. The road can be harsh in some ways, but so can eating five pieces of Chicago deep dish pizza, and that never stopped us before!
The worst part about the road is definitely being away from home. With the long boring drives you can at least listen to music. So we definitely miss our friends and family. But it'll make coming home all the more awesome.
The cool part about the road is meeting a bunch of new people and making new friends. We definitely appreciate everyone who's helped us and given us a place to stay, everyone who's given us food and monster energy drinks, it's just been a lot of fun being able to hangout with all these people. But yeah, we'll be on the road for three more weeks, and then we'll be back home in Chicago! We'll be rockin' it with Angel City Outcast when we get there, and we are currently touring with ACO and Born to Lose. So hopefully we'll get to see some more new faces as we head east and then back to Chicago! God bless and keep rockin!

NEW CD Release Date Announced! May 15th!
1/30/2007
Hey guys! We've just crossed over the freezing tundra that lies between Minnesota and Nebraska, few have survived and many are pronounced cold. On a happier note, we all survived, but not in tip top health. I have a bad cough and a stuffed nose, but we've got some medicine, and touring is worth it. It does make me wonder whose idea it was to go to the coldest place in America during the dead of winter. But it's OK, we decided instead of changing the route to just bring OCD, our friends from San Antonia with us to make it seem warmer. The sight of them being colder than us does help a little. Those guys are awesome. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure we're getting a tour scheduled for down there in July.
NEW NEWS!!! Our CD is MIXED…MASTERED…and MOST DEFINITELY going to be within your reach on MAY 15TH! Keep checkin' in for more news! Cause I promise, when it happens, it will eventually be nonchalantly blogged about!!! Or perhaps told rapidly. Depends on how fast we get to an internet source. Keep rockin!! And if we're in your area, come hangout with us and/or come to some shows!!! Thanks, God bless,
Josh – Flatfoot 56
