Heading Out On Tour With STREET DOGS, DEVIL’S BRIGADE and more!!

We're hitting the road with our good friends Street Dogs again! They're releasing a great new record in September and we're out supporting our new record 'Black Thorn.' It's going to be a crazy tour that features other great bands like Matt Freeman's (from Rancid) Devil's Brigade, and Rick Barton's (from Dropkick Murphys) Continental. We're also really lucky to be doing a handful of dates with Sick Of It All too. Pretty rad. Come out and hang with us and have a jolly old time. Supported by label mates THE SPARRING, as well as sets from San Diego’s RAT CITY RIOT, and newcomers YOUR ARSENAL, Orange County’s only no cover venue, THE SLIDEBAR ROCK N’ ROLL Café will play host to this special event. Celebrating 10 years of blood, sweat, and tears, FLATFOOT 56’s Black Thorn, was produced by Johnny Rioux of STREET DOGS and has already been heralded by critics as the band’s most captivating work to date.

Dying Scene Gives ‘Black Thorn’ 5 out of 5 Stars!

Celtic folklore cites the Black Thorn as being the most sinister and evil of all trees. When its’ leaves fall off nothing remains but a dark, twisted skeleton. On top of that, it is also the main ingredient found in the construction of the traditional Irish weapon, the shillelagh. Although, it may not be the reason they went with the title it is certainly a fitting description for the latest release from Chicago’s, Flatfoot 56. READ MORE
